Mitchel Kawash is a New York-based actor and singer. He can currently be seen in a national commercial for Match.com as well as in the New York cast of the interactive murder mystery The Dinner Detective. Other recent credits include the Off-Broadway musical revue Me the People (Triad, by Nancy Holson) and the Investigation Discovery television show Diabolical

Originally from Charleston, West Virginia, Mitchel attended Yale University, where he received a BA in Theater Studies with Distinction. While at Yale, Mitchel was honored to sing with the world-famous Whiffenpoofs—the planet’s oldest collegiate a cappella group, made up of fourteen seniors from the university annually. During his time with the group, Mitchel traveled across the United States and the world—visiting more than 20 states and 35 countries as well as all seven continents. He performed in prestigious venues from the White House to Lincoln Center and teamed up with artists such as Brian Stokes Mitchell, Zooey Deschanel, and Darren Criss.

After graduating from Yale, Mitchel hopped across the pond to train at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, where he earned a postgraduate degree in professional acting. During his two years at LAMDA, he appeared in a number of plays as well as the short film House of Dreams.

Professional theater credits include projects from New York to London as well as regional theaters across the United States. Favorites include Our Town (George Gibbs; Valley Shakespeare Festival), Hamlet (Laertes; Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival), Julius Caesar, directed by Alvin Epstein (Octavius Caesar; Elm Shakespeare Company), A Midsummer Night's Dream (Demetrius; Legacy Theatre), The Comedy of Errors (Antipholus of Syracuse; Valley Shakespeare Festival), Julius Caesar (Casca; Old Hat Theatre Company), The Taming of the Shrew (Lucentio; Valley Shakespeare Festival),  Absent (dir. Tristan Sharps; dreamthinkspeak), and Punk Grandpa (dir. Janie Martinez; FRIGID New York). 

Mitchel has appeared in a number of short films as well as in the radio play A Night at the Races

He is an avid sports fan and has an irrational obsession with the Olympics. He plays the alto saxophone and has a pet rabbit named Piper.
